Dot Pattern was designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1947, and I love how it is so right for today. I was working for Maharam, a New York based textile firm, years ago, when they bought the rights to various Eames designs and gave them new life. It is a fabulous collection of durable fabrics, and even fun pillows too! Even though I am a residential designer, I turn to Maharam quite a bit, as it stands up to children so well, and many of their designs do not seem, well…"contract."
