This was the babies first time in their bouncers-they barely see over the harness but enjoyed the movement…Billy was also amused since they were perfectly positioned for feet kisses! I did not situate him for this shot-he made sure he was in it and sat smack in the middle, centered and cute as can be!
These photos overwhelm me with love and joy. It is so deeply moving to introduce your parents to their grandchildren. To be bonded in parenthood with your own mother and father, knowing without their love you wouldn't exist, let alone have this amazing experience to share. I had wished and hoped for this moment all of my adult life, and my expectations of it were not nearly as powerful as the actual event.

Our world became even more beautiful on Friday when we welcomed our twins into the world. They arrived after 6 PM on the 13th, which was special since it’s my father’s birthday (Henry’s namesake), and it was Bastille Day in France! The names we chose have great significance…Henry Clifton after both of our fathers, and Marie Kathleen after our mothers. We are euphoric, exhausted, and madly in love. Thank you all SO much for the love and support, we are truly touched. I apologize in advance for the onslaught of baby photos to come…but something tells me you all won’t mind.
