freezing temps + hot tea + kinfolk magazine = comfort.
mommy showed me my friend sam’s 2011 recap, and i thought it was a great idea. so here is my year in review…and happy new year…i can’t wait to be a big brother in 2012!
2011 has been a challenging year, but looking back there is a lot of scattered light & happiness throughout (not to mention a very happy ending)! I am so very thankful to you all for your love and support, it means so much to me. Happy New Year everyone…see you in 2012!
2011 highlights…
*moved into (and renovated) our new home
*dealt with tough health issues
*launched fleurishing llc
*celebrated fabulous new friends
*made a dream come true and created life…twice!!
*fell more in love with mr. fleurishing and billy…(didn't think it was possible).
We cannot contain our excitement…we are expecting!!! It is something we have been wishing and planning for, and it is still hard to believe it has come true. After much thought we’ve decided to share it publicly before the “safe” point of the second trimester. We had an ultrasound, and saw (and heard) the strong heartbeat…S! Yes, that is an S, as in PLURAL. As in TWINS!! As in, WHOA. We were SO surprised, as it does not run in the family and we conceived naturally, but we aren’t complaining! We will be sharing our journey…les bébés are due in the summer, and we WILL be finding out the genders! Needless to say, this Christmas has been such a special one, and we are so very thankful.
2012 is going to be epic!
(billy is very excited to be a big brother!)
This amazing holiday gift wrap idea is making the blog rounds, which doesn't surprise me because it is SO COOL. Shauna & Stephen of Something's Hiding in Here never cease to inspire me with their endless creativity. This project was featured in the Martha Stewart gift wrapping challenge, where you can vote for them and see other fun ideas as well. I intend to give this a try very soon…it won't make it under our tree this year, but it will be on my mind until I am able to give it a shot!
