making dreams reality…
Mr. Fleurishing and I have many dreams, and one of them is coming true today…we are closing on our house! We chose it together, and very soon it will be our HOME. We are so excited for our future, and have so much we hope to do. One thing we daydream about is someday riding the Orient Express! On one of our first dates, it came up in conversation and we couldn't believe we both had the same desire-it is such a specific one. Being the planner that I am, I can't help but peruse the website and imagine what we'll choose, when we can afford it…(you might notice that a ride on this historic train is not cheap). Exploring Europe in such an old-fashioned way would be an amazing experience. For now…our dreams are much more down to earth, and having those come true is a wonderful feeling…happiness!!

In between errands and packing we took a breather at Terrain, where I always feel inspired. The weather is growing warmer every day and spring is on the horizon…counting the days!

Pensive, which is my default setting.

The admission of women to Trinity College Dublin (where I did my undergrad) in 1904, which was progressive at the time (Oxford & Cambridge didn’t permit women until 1920/1).

Your biggest flaw.
Without question, self-doubt, which sometimes borders on self-loathing.
What gift from nature would you like to have?
To breathe underwater. I am a complete waterbaby and love the idea of being a selkie and taking to the sea.

Sabine & Teresa from Unbearable Lightness of Being. I think most women have pieces of both characters in them. I like that they’re kind to each other too, when it is least expected.
