Many of you know of my other site, Nesting, but for those who don’t…it’s my business dedicated solely to baby + kids design. Before having my own children, it made sense to me to keep that world separate, and fleurishing was a space to indulge my francophilia and many other interests. However as you may have noticed, this blog has organically become my go to for everything-I share so much of my life here. Since motherhood, children, and all that entails consumes most of my life now anyway (and I couldn’t be happier about that), I’m merging my online identities. In addition to interior design for littles and adults, I’ve been busy styling events and editorial shoots, and am excited about the opportunities coming my way! Until my full site is developed (with services etc.), the Curious + Co. team have given my landing page a fresh new look-check it out! Of course, if you’re looking to hire me or collaborate, check out my portoflio + get in touch! Thank you all for helping me build my business…your support means so much to me. Here’s to ch-ch-ch changes!

philly creatives…a new series!

philly-creatives

After almost four years in Philadelphia, I continue to be inspired by the local talent that thrives here. It’s a creative community like I’ve never been a part of before-supportive, enriching, motivating. I frequently post about my local love, but it’s time to take it to another level and really showcase the best. My goal is to get more personal with the artists and business owners you already know, and introduce a few you might not. I’m continually meeting incredibly inspiring people here-I’ve been fortunate to get to know many of them personally, and am excited to share their passions. Beginning in September, I will be profiling philly creatives! Regardless of where you are in the world, you will be inspired.

welcome

fleurishing-blog

I am so thrilled to introduce you to my new site! After three years of blogging, it was in need of a major makeover. Thanks to the talented team of Curious + Co. Creative, it now better reflects my aesthetic and highlights my content so beautifully. I hope you will take a moment to check out the new features, including long overdue social media updates, and a new services page showing what I do beyond blogging. I want to express my sincere gratitude for those who have followed my journey along the way, and to new readers…hello! Thank you all for sharing this new chapter with me! I just have to mention my latest vintage acquisition shown above…a 1948 Royal Quiet DeLuxe. It just so happens that this model was one that Ernest Hemingway had an affection for, and I look forward to its analog inspiration! Be sure to check back on monday for the first of THREE huge giveaways next week…there will be something for everyone. Bon weekend!

thoughts

Ever since moving to Philadelphia a year and a half ago, I have been continually inspired and energized by the amazing talent that thrives here. I continue to meet amazing entrepreneurs, artists and creatives that help make this city so vibrant. I kept thinking how great it would be to get people together, in one space, to meet, network and socialize, so the idea for this event was born. The Philly Creatives party was so much fun, and I have many to thank for helping make it an enticing and entertaining evening. I am grateful for the relationships I have built thanks to blogging, business and social media, and look forward to making many more…thank you to all who came out!

Janet & Stu of Three Potato Four kindly offered their space, which was perfect, and of course we all ended up shopping! Sullivan Owen created a beautiful fall floral arrangement, in a giant glass mason jar that I am coveting. Victoria Andreacchio of V’s Cupcakery in Norristown provided the most amazing cookies & cupcakes…seriously the best I’ve had in Philly! Lindsey Buck has such a talent for calligraphy, and made the gorgeous signage. The music and beautiful sound of Sharon Sable and E. Shawn Qaissaunee took things to another level. I am so thankful to have met them at the Terrain autumn festival, and just might become their newest groupie. Last but certainly not least, Art in the Age supplied the ROOT & SNAP which mr. fleurishing used to create some very pleasing libations!!

Interest has been expressed for another event, and your feedback and thoughts would help to make that a possibility. Maybe something quarterly, possibly having speakers? What are your thoughts?
